there's things I remember and things I forget I miss you, I guess that I shouldThere are a lot of things I'll miss about him.
I'll miss the way he'd breeze into the newsroom and say, "Heeeeeeey, what's goin' on?"
I'll miss that look that tells you you're full of crap, and that he sees right through you. Kind of like
here.
When I shut my eyes, I can still hear his laugh.
I hope I never forget his smile.I'll miss the laughter most of all.
Goodbye, Chris.

Okay, so it's been a while.Like, almost a year. What can I say? We've been busy.
Got a job. Zip got a transfer, so I left my job, we sold the house and moved to Cinti.
Still trying to buy a new house.
Xander's almost a year old now. He's got seven teeth, and he's pulling up and damn near walking. Favorite foods: sweet potatoes, mangoes, and rice cereal with bananas. And mama's milk. And whatever happens to be on your plate at this exact moment, because he's a little beggar. I keep thinking one day I'll get to eat a meal again without a tiny hand tugging on my pant leg, a face turned upward with an expectant smile.
But it's okay for now.
Still waiting on a new job. Had a few promising leads that didn't pan out, but I haven't given up hope yet.
We're under contract on a house now. Hopefully this inspection will turn out ok.
I'll try to update again before 2007.

Thrush be gone!Diflucan is da bomb, officially. Man, that stuff's great. Thrush is gone, at least for me. I have some residual soreness, but nursing is now almost completely painless, which is great. Xander seems to be feeling better too, although he's still got another week and a half on the meds to go.
In other news, we're tentatively planning a summer Northern Tour, as it were, for sometime in June. More on this later as we finalize our plans. We won't be getting to go to the beach this summer :( so this will have to be our vacation, as it were.

Just a few tidbits.
Zip is far better at getting the baby to go to sleep than I am. Now, while I'm glad that Zip has a special talent with the little one, it does grate on my nerves a bit when I'm circling the house for the umpteenth time to get him to stop squawking and fall asleep for his afternoon nap, all the time thinking that Zip could've had him out cold an hour ago. But.
And, it appears that baby and I have a case of thrush. Ugh. No wonder nursing has been so painful lately... so now I'm waiting on two prescriptions to be called in, one for each of us. One will be easy (a tablet for me) and the other not-so-easy (an antifungal suspension I have to squirt into the wee one's mouth several times a day, which I'm sure will be just as much fun as it sounds).
I'm hopeful that getting the thrush taken care of will a) make nursing painless again, and b) relieve some of the discomfort that's making the little one howl every night. Poor little guy.

Happy Anniversary, Zip. (A day late -- sorry.)
You are my best friend, the love of my life, and my reason for being.
Thank you for making me your wife for the last four fantastic years.

Hey! Yes, you!
My sister is doing the March of Dimes Walk America next month, and she's trying to raise $500 for the MoD. She's currently about 1/3 of the way to her goal, but she could use some help.
Do you have a few dollars you can spare for a good cause? Great!
Thanks!
